Special Precautions and Recommendations:
Refer to the
Commercial Vinyl-Backed Installation System
for complete installation recommendations.
When installing TRANSLATIONS sheet flooring, regardless of the substrate, S-599 and S-543 Adhesive must be allowed to set open until dry to the touch over nonporous substrates; over porous substrates S-599 or S-543 may be used as set-in-wet or dry-to-touch.
When heat welding, seams may be recessed scribed slightly open (1/64") to make guiding the router easier. Use of the
S-65 Heat Welding Nozzle
will reduce scorching and the shiny appearance at seams.
When installing TRANSLATIONS in a residential application, seams may be coated using the S-564 Low Gloss Seam Coating Kit.
(Disc. 12/3/12)
Do not install over existing on-grade or below-grade tile.
When installing several rolls in one area, Timberline sheet flooring
must
be installed in sequential order. Refer to section on
Starting the Job
for complete details on Roll/Label Identification and Installation.
The lines on the back of the material represent trademark edges.
