Quarter Round for Laminate – Product and Installation – Superseded Profile

Quarter Round is used to conceal the required expansion space between the wall and the laminate flooring.

Product Features

  • Used to cover the gap between the floor and the wall.

Materials and Tools:

  • Quarter round molding
  • Pencil
  • Tape measure
  • Saw
  • 3d 1-1/4″ finish nails
  • Hammer
  • Nail set
  • Wood glue
  • Urethane construction adhesive
  • Color coordinated filler

Installation Procedures

Fasten the Quarter Round to the wall or baseboard. Do NOT fasten it to the floorcovering.

Step 1: Apply one thin bead of construction adhesive to the back of the quarter round attach it to the baseboard or wall.

Step 2: Support it with a heavy object until the adhesive has cured so it won’t pop off the wall (about 24 hours).

Step 3: (Optional) Use 3d finishing nails in the quarter round every 16”. Fill the nail holes with color coordinated filler.
