Recommended Substrates
- Concrete on (all grade levels) according to ASTM F710 and Preparation of Concrete Subfloors
- Suspended Wood and Wood Underlayments
- Existing well-bonded resilient flooring; not perimeter-bonded or cushion-backed. single layer, fully adhered
- Radiant-heated subfloors where the surface temperature does not exceed 85oF (29o C)
Application Instructions
- Make sure subfloor is clean, flat, dry, and free of all debris.
- Install material with film side down.
- Begin in corner and install MultiGuard parallel to the wall in the opposite direction you will install the floor planks.
- Leave at least 2” of excess MultiGuard up the wall and trim after installation is complete.
- Roll out the next piece of MultiGuard, making sure the seams are butted together.
- Remove the liner from the adhesive strip on the edge of the film and firmly press into place creating a moisture resistant seal
- TIP: Secure the edges of the film with double sided tape to prevent shifting as the flooring is being installed.
