Recommended Substrates
Will bond to all substrates listed below but refer to flooring installation system for specific installation recommendations:
- Structurally sound, dry and smooth wall surfaces
- Wood, plywood
- Plaster
- Dry concrete and concrete block
- Brick
- Gypsum drywall (Sheetrock)
- Plastic laminate
- Fiberglass paneling which has been lightly sanded
- Metal and glazed surfaces that have been abraded
- Cured and well-bonded paint on walls (paint must be cured for 30 days)
Application Instructions – Wall Base
INSTALLATION TIPS: Refer to Wall Base Installation System.
- Spread the adhesive using a 1/8” x 1/8” x 1/8” V-notch trowel or using a 3-hole tube applicator tip.
- The adhesive may be spread on the wall surface or on the back of the wall base.
- Immediately place the wall base into position while the adhesive is freshly applied.
- Roll the entire strip of base with a small roller in the direction of the previously placed strip.
- Wipe smudges and clean spills quickly before the adhesive dries. Clean tools with water while the adhesive is still wet.
- Dried adhesive may require the use of a solvent (denatured alcohol).
