Why do Hardwood Flooring Products Appear Different from Sample Boards?

Why do Hardwood Flooring Products Appear Different from Sample Boards?

To answer this question, let’s take a look at a 5´ x 6´ area of flooring from our Robbins Natural Forest™ Hickory Collection.
The borders below represent a few possible sample boards that could be produced from one floor.

As you can see, none of these samples are identical to one another. Yet these were all taken from the same floor.

Since every tree provides unique and natural characteristics, it’s important to stress each sample is but a small representation of what the consumer’s floor may look like.
