Enhanced Traction Meets Seamless Design
VCT is known for its design flexibility and now adding safety does not mean sacrificing
aesthetics, Safety Zone™ Tile allows for a seamless transition from Imperial® Texture to
slip-retardant tile. No obvious color change that disrupts the flow of the space.
Safety Zone™ Tile is made with an embossed surface embedded with proprietary particles
for exceptional slip-retardant performance. No specialized maintenance required; follow
traditional VCT maintenance protocols including the application of polish and periodic
restorative maintenance.
- Features through-pattern wear layer for lasting performance, even under heavy traffic conditions*. As the tile wears, the pattern is consistent.
- Exclusive Fast Start® Factory Finish makes initial maintenance quick and easy, no stripping or waxing required before applying initial polish and the sheen helps eliminate upside down installs.

MATERIAL: A composition of polyvinyl chloride resin, plasticizers, stabilizers, fillers, pigment and grit. Safety Zone tile shall have a nominal 0.020 in. (0.51 mm) thick pattern layer containing grit.
CONSTRUCTION AND COLORS: Color and pattern detail are dispersed uniformly throughout the thickness of the material. Color pigments are insoluble in water and resistant to cleaning agents and light.
NOTE: Darker-colored Safety Zone Tile patterns may be susceptible to scratch whitening.

ASTM F 1066 Vinyl Composition Floor Tile: Meets requirements for size, thickness, squareness, indentation, impact, deflection, dimensional stability, resistance to chemicals and resistance to heat.

Installation Special Precautions and Recommendations:
NOTE: When Safety Zone is used in produce areas, around freezers, at entryways, and other areas subject to surface water or cooler temperatures, install the first 3 to 5 rows with S-1000 Adhesive. Remaining rows may be installed with S-515, S-319 or Flip Spray Adhesive, depending on subfloor. - Do not install over existing below-grade tile.
- Pattern and Shade/Lot Numbers should match.
